A major networking event to talk about the forthcoming PSTN switch-off took place on 14th March 2018, as part of the British Security Industry Association’s (BSIA) Next Generation Network (NGN) meetings.
With the theme of How changes to the UK telecommunications network may affect the Fire, Security and Telecare industries the event, held in partnership with the Fire Industry Association (FIA), TSA and Euralarm highlighted the effects of the transition from analogue to an ALL-IP digital communications network, within these industries across the UK.
Building on the success of our Industry’s European service standard EN16763, Euralarm has successfully pushed through a new work item for a European standard on Remote Services for fire safety and security.
The 2018 EUSAS-Euralarm Conference, the second edition of the event will be hosted by Airbus and will take place at the Airbus facilities in Bremen, Germany, on July 10th and 11th, 2018. The topic of the conference will be ‘Fire Safety and Security in the Aviation Sector’.
With the new EN 16763 Services Standard, all the pre-requisites regarding level of skills, knowledge, and education that should be expected from service providers within the fire and security Industry have found a consensual definition.
AGA, a Czech Member of Euralarm is sponsoring a free workshop ‘Crime prevention – Natural and technical prevention for smart and safe cities’, to be held in Prague on November 22nd, 2017.
BHE, the German Federal Association of Security Engineering, a long-standing Euralarm Member within its Services Section, has decided to extend its Membership to the two other Euralarm Sections: Fire and Security.
Euralarm, the European trade association of the electronic fire safety and security Industry, has published its Annual Report 2016-2017. The report underlines the impact of the association on the future of standardisation, electroninc fire safety, security and associated services.
The 9th edition of the A.R.T.S. National Conference in Bucharest, Romania will focus on the Social Value of Security Services. A topic that is also core to Euralarm’s Mission and Strategy. A.R.T.S. is Euralarm Member and a national association for the Industry of ‘Security Technique’.
Euralarm will be represented at the CEN-CENELEC StandarDays 2017, which will take place in Brussels at the CEN-CENELEC Management Centre on 20-21 April. Participants in this public event will receive a structured overview of the European Standardisation System, CEN-CENELEC products and processes, as well as the benefits of stakeholder involvement.
Euralarm closely monitors developments in cyber security, which was one of the key topics of the 2016 Symposium. It will also figure high on the agenda for this year’s edition of the event which will explore, among other topics, digital services in fire and security electronics.
