For many years EN 50131-1 has been the basis for quality standards for security and hold-up systems and as new technologies and applications are brought to market the regulation needs to be updated to meet the new requirements. At this moment the EN 50131-1 is open for revision and Euralarm is working with its members and other stakeholders from the security industry to include these new technologies into the standard. It will ensure that going forwards the EN 50131-1 will stay relevant for end-users, alarm response and insurance companies and with that also for our industry.
