At the last Euralarm General Assembly Mid of May in Sorrento the Euralarm members confirmed the member ship of the Romanian trade association ARTS. ARTS, representing the Romanian security industry, is now member of the Euralarm Security section.

The Euralarm General Assembly 2009 in Sorrento passed the New Euralarm Statutes. A third section or services offers now to all the Service providers in the electronic fire and security market and its associations a European representation.

At their first members meetings of the Euralarm sections Fire, Security and Services the members of the Section Committees and also the Chairmen, Vice Chairmen and the section delegates for the Euralarm Board have been elected in Sorrento at the Euralarm GA2009

At the Gala Dinner held on the first day of the Euralarm General Assembly Bert van Langeveld was awarded the Euralarm medal for his contribution to Euralarm since 1976.

These are my last notes as President of Euralarm. At the General Assembly in Sofia my term ended and I have handed the Presidency over to Hansjürg Mahler, representing SES. I know Hansjürg from my professional life, and I know that he will be an excellent President. Congratulations Hansjürg!
